1992 – 2003 SOLO AGAIN
After the break of BAD ENGLISH John Waite vanishes into thin air for a while and
he´s heading for Italy.
After several months spending brooding intensively („Total emptiness in my head“) he returns back home to Lancaster.
„One day I will move back here for good“, he avows. „I love this landscape, the fens, and
sheep, the lonely nights.
I would love to have real roots. I´m into the idea having one base in life, but I never had the chance to unpack.
Bits of my life are in crates everywhere in the world. England is the only place I could unpack forever“, he says.
„Americans question me about the so-called culture shock, living here and coming back
there, but they don´t understand.
All the things I see in Lancaster, the faces of the people, their joy and pain, their ideas, the ways of life - That´s me.
But John loves New York as well and after a while he obtains position back in his domicile in Port Ridge. |
