John Waite´s wishes again fall on deaf ears and the hope to tour at least a few European countries ends up in smoke.
Slowly but surely he gets at the end of his patience…

... and the next setback is not long in coming. Exactly - Gold Circle files for bankruptcy. In June 2002, the independent label closes the doors and John´s recording future is under review again. One may not believe in coincidences anymore...

Same year´s August, John changes the management again and TBA takes him under its wings.

Another charity show finds John Waite as an interested participant. It´s Glen Burtnik´s (Ex-Styx) Xmas Xtravaganza, which was originated by Glen in 1989. Like the Shade Tree performances it takes place every year round Christmas and in addition to John (Quote Glen Burtnik: „In my opinion, John Waite is the Frank Sinatra of my generation, his phrasing is unlike anyone’s.“) numerous musicians show up to contribute to this remarkable event.

„A lot of people need help in this world“, Glen says. „I know there are political complications... I once read a convincing article suggesting much of the food sent as a result of Live Aid ended up rotting in warehouses due to the politics of the region. So I decided to go with the old adage 'Charity Begins At Home'. Each year, I send the do-re-mi to two NY / NJ area food banks, which effectively distribute food to the poor in that area.“

On December 13, John again does his bit to the meanwhile very well known
Shade Tree Women´s & Children´s Shelter.
